1971 Ford Mustang Mach1. Car was originally equiped with a 302 motor and three speed manual transmission. Sometime in the 1980’s a previous owner installed the current four speed toploader transmission and 351 Windsor motor with aftermarket camshaft, intake manifold and carburetor. Car has been with same owner since May of 2002. Actual mileage unknown due to broken speedometer cable when purchased. Recent upgrades include current wheels and tires which were added in 2017. The new Summit carburetor was installed in 2021. The front brakes were done in 2022 and included new calipers. In 2023 the timing chain was replaced along with the spark plugs. In fall of 2024 the car received a new wiring harness which also included a new battery and alternator and LED lights for the interior gauges, relocation of the fuse box to the glove box and a custom fully retractable antenna. Also in the fall of 2024 the car received a new exhaust which consisted of refurbishing/repainting of the stock exhaust manifolds, all new pipe and new flowmaster mufflers. The paint was done sometime in the 1980’s and all the chrome is original. This means that the paint and chrome are in very good shape but are not like new. This is the perfect car if you are just looking for classic muscle to enjoy on nice days without having to worry about anything not working properly and without breaking the bank.
